Wellness evaluations are of form of preventive medicine. The goal of a wellness exam is to not only monitor your current health status, but to prevent future illnesses from occurring. This is accomplished with consultations, physical exams, health screenings, and regular immunizations.

What Happens during a Wellness Evaluation?

A typical wellness exam begins with a consultation, where your doctor will discuss your medical history. This could also include a discussion on your family's medical history in order to diagnose potential genetic illnesses. The consultation is a good time for you to ask any questions or concerns you may have about your health.

The next step of a wellness evaluation is a physical exam. Some of the monitoring and tests your doctor may perform include:
